Pike-San Isabel National Forests; Comanche and Cimarron National Grasslands

Located in central Colorado, lies Pike and San Isabel National Forests. Big game species include elk, deer, bighorn sheep, and bears. Among the forest's most majestic mountains are 14,433 foot Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest, and Pikes Peak, Colorado's most famous. Turquoise Lake Recreation Area and Twin Lakes Reservoir are open for waterskiing, boating, fishing, and camping.
