Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery
The Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery (NFH) was established in 1975. Our mission is to provide rainbow and brown trout for mitigation stocking in Kentucky; provide a refuge for threatened or endangered aquatic species and develop techniques required to culture these species; and establish and maintain a ?Friends Group? to gain community support for the fish hatchery. For more than 150,000 visitors yearly, we provide hatchery tours, off-site presentations, a display room, and a handicapped accessible public fishing area. In June we open the Annual Kids Fishing Derby held during National Fishing Week.
