Quinault National Fish Hatchery

Quinault National Fish Hatchery

The Quinault National Fish Hatchery (NFH) rears and releases a combined total of 8 million chinook chum and coho salmon, and steelhead trout annually into the major rivers on the Quinault Indian Reservation and other coastal rivers as far north as the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Visitors are welcome daily from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The best time to visit is from fall to mid-winter when adult fish are returning to the hatchery. The information center features Quinault Indian culture and is designed to give a comprehensive picture of the hatchery facility and how it fits into the total context of the Quinault Indian Reservation.

Directions: Located on the Quinault Indian Reservation about 45 miles North of Aberdeen. Drive North on U.S. Highway 101 to mile post 120 (Moclips Highway). Turn West on Moclips Highway and go 5 miles to hatchery sign.
