NCBuy Entertainment Network Software Installation and Removal

Answers to common questions regarding NCBuy Entertainment Network games and screen savers.

How Do I Install or Uninstall A Program?
The NCBuy Entertainment Network games and screensavers all work using standard Windows installer routines. There's no fancy footwork required to install or remove a program.

To install a game or screen saver:

  • Download the desired file and run the program. This will launch the setup routine and you're good to go.
To uninstall a game or screen saver:
  • To remove a program, go to your Windows Control Panel, select Add | Remove Programs, and then the program you wish to remove.
Uninstall Routine Does Not Remove Program
We have received a handful of reports from users that are encountering problems with the uninstall routine. After attempting to remove the program through the Windows Add|Remove Programs window the application is still loaded on the PC.

After careful review we have determined that certain shareware spyware programs are preventing the uninstall program from being able to delete the appropriate file. As of yet, we are unable to determine exactly which 3rd party software is causing this problem.

If you encounter this problem and you are running any anti-spyware or non-windows security products on your PC, please contact us to let us know which ones you are running so we can contact the vendors.

In the meantime, should the uninstall program not work for you, you can manually remove the DTMC2 screen saver simply by deleting the file C:\windows\Don't Touch My Computer 2.scr from your PC.

Runtime Errors or Freezing
All of the NCBuy Entertainment Network games and screen savers are designed using Macromedia Flash, which requires the appropriate plugin in or Flash.ocx file. The vast majority of users will already have the necessary plugins installed on their computer, however, occasionally problems can arise if the plugins are outdated or have become corrupted.

If you are running into problems such as game freezes or runtime errors, please make sure you have the latest flash plugins on your computer by downloading the latest drivers from Macromedia. The plugins are free and will take just a few seconds to install.
