Singer Demi Lovato reveals secret sibling on live radio

-- Paula David - Fourth Estate Cooperative Reporter

Long Island, NY, United States (4E) - On Wednesday, singer Demi Lovato has revealed on live national radio that she has an older sibling who she did not meet until recently.

"I have an older sister I've never known my whole life, who's in her 30s," Lovato, 20, told Long Island, N.Y., radio station, WBLI. "She's my half-sister, but I talked to her for the very first time in my life around when I turned 20."

The "X Factor" judge, calling from an airport VIP lounge, said this after she was asked by the DJ if there was something personal about herself that the wanted to share with her fans.

Lovato provided no other details about her older sister, such as her name, what she does, where she's from or who her known parents are.

Meanwhile, that was all Lovato had to say regarding her personal life. She kept silent on topics, like her relationship with alleged beau Wilmer Valderrama.

"I just like to keep my private life like my life and stuff like that. And my friends and family and everything like that, I like to keep very sacred ... Unfortunately, no, I would not like to comment," she said.
