 -- Paula David - Fourth Estate Cooperative Reporter New York, NY, United States (4E) - Following her marriage to Hollywood hottie Matthew McConaughey, model Camila Alves has been named as the newest brand ambassador for I.N.C. International Concepts at Macy's. Women's Wear Daily made the announcement Monday, and Alves is set to appear in promotional materials and advertisements of the brand, be it on television, online, or in-store. "When Macy's approached me about this, I told them we need more than a meeting in New York. I had the team to my home in Austin, cooked some food and had some wine. They've got to really like me — it's a big partnership," the 30-year old Brazilian model told WWD. Meanwhile, Nancy Slavin, senior vice president of merchandising at Macy's Merchandising Group said, "Camila has a beautiful, multiethnic appearance that will appeal to a diverse customer base. She's on the red carpet, but she's also a mother. It's an incredible package that will deliver star power to our star brand at Macy's." Aside from modeling and being a mother to two kids, Levi, 3, and Vida, 2, Alves also has two lines of handbags under the Muxo label, which she markets with her mom. She is planning to launch another bag line to hit department stores in the future.
