London, United Kingdom (4E) - Photos of Naomi Watts as Princess Diana have surfaced in cyberspace as the former shoots a film about the late royal titled "Caught In Flight."

While Watts' naturally exquisite face bears some similarity with the Princess of Wales', in the new photos, they look strikingly the same.

For the film, the English actress trimmed her long blonde locks and now dons Di's trademark wavy bob, and adopted her famous doe-eyed expression.

The film is about Diana's last two years of life before that fateful Paris car accident which caused her demise in 1997. It also focuses on her relationships with heart surgeon Dr Hasnat Khan and her time with Dodi Fayed, whom she was in a relationship with until she died.

"Caught In Flight" is directed by German director Oliver Hirschbiegel and is set for release in 2013.
