![]() -- Paula David - Fourth Estate Cooperative Reporter London, United Kingdom (4E) - Following some recent public appearances together, girl band Spice Girls have announced that they are auctioning their old costumes to raise funds for charity. The Girls Famous not only for their female-empowerment songs, the girl-power group has had huge impact on fashion in the 90s through their style. And now, over 15 years later, the public can get the chance to have the iconic wardrobe themselves. Posh Spice Victoria Beckham said she still has got all her costumes and while she plans to save them for her daughter Harper in the future, she told the Daily Mirror, "The rest I'd like to put up for charity, I think it would be a fantastic thing to do." She added, "Everything we did at the time was great, it really was great. We watched a little video Geri put together and I think we were nearly all brought to tears." While Posh is donating her leather and PVC dresses, Sporty Spice Mel C will give out her trademark Adidas tracksuits and tops. Baby Spice Emma Bunton will hand over one of her baby doll dresses, while Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell some basque-style dresses. Mel B, on the other hand will donate leopard-print cat suits. Wedge trainers and Buffalo shoes worn by the girls will also be donated. Details of the actual auction have not yet been announced, but the proceeds will benefit "Save the Children and Children In Need" organization, something that Beckham initiated in 2008 during their reunion tour. The Spice Girls are currently promoting the upcoming West End musical "Viva Forever!" written by Jennifer Saunders.
