![]() -- Fourth Estate Cooperative Staff Manila, Philippines (4E) - Real estate magnate Donald Trump's sons Donald Jr. and Eric graced the groundbreaking of a 61-storey residential skyscraper in Manila bearing their name on Tuesday. The Trump brothers and top officials of Century Properties Group Inc. led by its chairman Jose E. B. Antonio and managing director Robbie Antonio performed the shoveling rite for the 61-storey Trump Tower Manila in Makati City to signal the start of the construction of the building. Century Properties owns the $150 million tower and is just using the Trump brand under license from property developer Trump Organization. In a press conference before the groundbreaking ceremony held at the Manila Peninsula hotel also in Makati, Donald Jr., executive vice-president of developments and acquisitions of the Trump Organization, said the company plans additional projects with Century Properties. In a videotaped message sent for the event, Donald J. Trump said the Trump Tower Manila will be something very, very special. Jose Antonio said the company is using the Trump brand because it is synonymous with quality. The Antonio and Trump families also recognize the demand for luxury branded residences in the Philippines so they are embarking on the project. The Trump Tower Manila will emulate the luxurious amenities of the 58-storey Trump Tower and 72-storey Trump World Tower in New York City.
