Eleven-year-old Willow Smith clears rumors of tongue piercing

-- Paula David - Fourth Estate Cooperative Reporter

Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) - Shortly after Willow Smith posted a photo of her in what seemed to be a tongue piercing, the eleven-year-old singer cleared rumors by saying the stud isn't real.

When the photo surfaced on Instagram, a horde of people immediately threw judgment on the girl's metal accessory and her parents' way of upbringing. On the other hand, there were others who spotted right away that the piercing was fake.

After hundreds of comments, short-haired Smith commented, "It's fake... Sorry." When rude comments still won't stop, Willow reiterated, "It is fake."

The photo, which shows Willow and a friend donning silver studs, on the tongue and lip respectively, did not bear any caption. Meanwhile, her friend, named Bobbie DeBarge, also posted the same photo on her Instagram account with hashtags #dontjudge, #justhavingfun, #dontberude, #fake.

The stud is believed to be a magnetic accessory which is great for those who want to achieve a "renegade" look without having to pierce any part of their body.
