Update: Hand, foot mailed to schools belonged to murdered Chinese student

-- Windsor Genova - Fourth Estate Cooperative News Writer

Montreal, Canada (4E) - A severed hand and foot mailed to schools in Vancouver belonged to the Chinese student murdered and dismembered by suspect Luka Magnotta, according to Montreal's police.

Forensic examination by Quebec's coroner found the DNA from the body parts match the DNA from of the severed hand and foot mailed to the Conservative and Liberal parties in Ottawa earlier and the DNA from the torso found inside a suitcase dumped in a back alley in Montreal.

All parts belonged to Jun Lin, a 33-year old Chinese immigrant and Concordia student, police confirmed. His head remains missing.

Magnotta, who has been captured in Germany and is awaiting extradition, is suspected of mailing the body parts from a Montreal address to False Creek elementary school and St. George's junior school before he fled to Europe last month. Staff of the school opened the packages on June 5, a day after his arrest in Berlin.

The 29-year-old Magnotta is suspected of dismembering Jun, even eating part of the victim, after killing him. A video of the crime was posted on the Internet.

Meanwhile, Jun's parents are now in Canada calling for the quick extradition of Magnotta.
