Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) - Pop star Justin Timberlake brought Marine Kelsey De Santis as his date to Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards in Los Angeles Saturday.

The 31-year-old was honored the Troops' Choice Award that evening, and, as reported by E! News, he said, "It's amazing actually to be standing on stage with these American heroes. As some of you know I'm usually a wiseass, but in all seriousness, I can tell you receiving this award from our troops is seriously one of the greatest honors that I or any American could receive."

Meanwhile, De Santis, who invited Timberlake via online video to be her date for the Marine Corps Ball in Virginia last year told E! News, "He's a genuine person. There's no doubt in my mind [he deserves this award]."

Timberlake has recently celebrated his engagement with long-tie girlfriend Jessica Biel at an exclusive cocktail party in Los Angeles.

The Guys Choice Awards will air on Spike TV this Saturday (June 9).
