-- Paula David - Fourth Estate Cooperative Reporter London, United Kingdom (4E) - Hollywood star Dustin Hoffman played the real-life role of a hero when he came to the rescue of a man suffering a heart attack during a morning walk in a London park.. The "Kramer vs. Kramer" lead saw a man collapse while jogging in Hyde Park and rushed to his aid. The man was later identified as Sam Dempster. The actor called 999 and did not leave Dempster's side until paramedics arrived. When the man's heart started beating again, Hoffman commended the team for a job well done and left. The 27-year old jogger said he had no idea who helped him until during his recovery, when he was told by the medical staff that it was Dustin Hoffman who saved his life. Grateful, Dempster told The Sun newspaper, which reported the incident Tuesday, "I want to say 'Thank you' to Dustin Hoffman. He saved my life."
