LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (AHN) -- A galaxy of stars have been tapped to make guest appearances on the Betty White sitcom "Hot in Cleveland."

Most notable are Regis Philbin and Joan Rivers. Also lined up to appear are Andy Richter, Kevin Nealon, Georgia Engel, Rea Pearlman, Roger Bart, Craig Bierko and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs.

The news marks the comedy's move to bolster rating. The half-hour show, which airs on Wednesdays through June, has continued to turn in lackluster ratings. During the first season, the show averaged some 3 million viewers. The numbers have fallen to, and hovered around, 1.6 million viewers.

Previously announced guest stars include Jon Lovitz, Gilles Marini, Ed Asner, Christopher Gorham, Rick Springfield, James Patrick Stewart and Kristen Chenoweth.

The show also stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.
