Hezbollah MP urges U.S. spies in Lebanon to surrender

BEIRUT, LEBANON (AHN) -- A Hezbollah member of parliament in Lebanon urged American spies whom the organization have identified to surrender to authorities.

Nawwaf Moussawi said Monday that a doctor, a researcher and a journalist are among the 10 Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agents who should surrender. He said the U.S. spies are regularly meeting in restaurants and nightclubs in Dbayyeh and Jounieh to recruit local agents.

On Friday, the Hezbollah's media and propaganda arm, Al Manar, revealed in a video the identities of CIA operatives in Lebanon and a dozen Lebanese informants they have recruited to spy against the terrorist group. The recruits include government employees, politicians and religious figures.

The Al Manar video also showed a computer-generated sketch of the meetings by the CIA agents at a Pizza Hut and McDonald's restaurants in Beirut.

In November, an anonymous U.S. official admitted that CIA agents and activities in Lebanon have been discovered by Hezbollah using its double agents.
