Sugababes lose rights to name after former member wins legal battle

-- Anthony Jones - Celebrity News Service Reporter

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) - Sugababes, the popular girl group from the UK, are no more. Former member Mutya Buena won the legal rights to the girl's names which means the current line-up, Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah, and Jade Ewen, are left nameless.

Buena, one of the group's original members, had been seeking the legal rights to the name since her departure in 2005. She recorded four albums with the group.

Following the departure of another original member, Keisha Buchanan, in 2009, the Sugababes were left with no originals (although current member Heidi had been with the group since album #2) and surely helped the case.

"I won the official name of the Sugababes now!!! I deserve this! I'm over the moon!" Buena wrote on her Facebook.

The news comes just as Sugababes were about to release their eighth studio album and had just dropped the album's lead single, "Freedom." The girls would have to perform under a new name.

So what do you suggest the girls call themselves? Maybe $ugababes like American singer Ke$ha? Or could they just add a The in front?
