-- Anthony Jones - Celebrity News Service Reporter

Los Angeles, CA, United States (Celebrity News Service) - MTV star Kristin Cavallari had only been engaged for a few months before her NFL beau went running for, well, "The Hills." The couple have called off their engagement.

Cavallari and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler were only together for 10 months and engaged for less than three before they called it quits, People reports.

"She got dumped," a source told People. "She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening."

Cavallari and Cutler were planning a spring wedding and for Cavallari to move to Chicago in time for football season. She had been spending plenty of time there since the couple first hooked up.

She celebrated with an engagement party only last week. "Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night!" she tweeted.

Cavallari has since been spotted without her ring and spending time with her close friends.

"She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location - everything was set," the source added. "She's in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way."
