The Band Perry aids hometown tornado victims

(AHN Entertainment) -- The Band Perry partnered with the Red Cross and the Greene County Relief Center to provide aide for victims of the recent storms that have affected the area.

Calling Greenville, TN their home, the sibling band, consisting of members Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry, took time off from touring with Tim McGraw to visit the victims and assist relief workers.

"We hope that we helped to raise awareness of the needs in the area and we're very happy that we could publicly thank and acknowledge the tireless efforts of all the local disaster relief workers," said Kimberly Perry.

The Band Perry assisted the Greene County Red Cross with the distribution of meals, snacks and comfort kits and then traveled to the Greene County Disaster Relief/Donation Center/Command Center and spoke to the media about what supplies are needed by the organization.

An F3 tornado hit the area and now the Greene County Disaster Relief/Donation Center/Command Center, stationed out of the Free Will Baptist Family Ministries, is asking for donations of Gatorade, vitamin water, canned foods, cleaning supplies, paper products, trash bags, and more to help the families in need.

Donations can be sent to FWBFM 90 Stanley Lane, Greeneville, TN 37743.
