![]() NEW YORK CITY, NY (AHN Entertainment) -- Melissa Leo, who won an Oscar for best actress at the 2011 Academy Awards for her role in "The Fighter," is writing a memoir. Publishing company Simon & Schuster announced Monday that Leo has signed a deal to publish the book in 2013, reports The Washington Post. "Melissa has a moving and gutsy story to tell, with a very happy ending," Simon & Schuster executive editor Priscilla Painton said in the statement. "We look forward to making it possible for her to tell it." The 45-year-old Leo, who shocked audiences by dropping the f-bomb during her acceptance speech at the Oscars in Feb., will reveal details of both her "troubled childhood" and her "stormy breakup" from actor John Heard. In the book, Leo reveals that the "Home Alone" actor, who played Macaulay Culkin's father in the first two movies, of stalking their 24-year-old son Jack and her new boyfriend back in 1996. Heard was formerly charged in 1997. "My work requires that I inhabit other people's lives but my memoir demands that I take on the toughest role of my career - playing myself," Leo said. Leo is currently starring in the new television series "Treme," which follows New Orleans residents three months after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, and she just completed filming on the highly anticipated Kevin Smith horror movie "Red State." The film, which also stars Michael Parks and John Goodman, is scheduled to hit theaters in October.
