Air New Zealand launches "Cuddle Class"

Auckland, New Zealand (AHN) -- Air travel is becoming more comfortable with the addition "cuddle class" seating.

Air New Zealand's "cuddle class" features an Economy Skycouch which encourages cuddling. The new seat design can be found on the airliner's new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

In addition to the Economy Skycouch, Air New Zealand's 777-300ER's also give travelers a lie-flat seating that uses thicker memory foam mattresses and full size pillows in its Business Premier class.

They will be big enough to accommodate a couple or a family with a small child.

"For those who choose, the days of sitting in economy and yearning to lie down and sleep are gone," Air New Zealand CEO Rob Fyfe said.

The new way to travel allows passengers on the company's long haul routes that include non-stop flights from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu and Vancouver to New Zealand to have unparalleled comfort and snuggle time.

However it remains unknown if the amount of members in the mile high club will skyrocket.

The airline however is urging restraint.

"Just keep your clothes on, thanks," Fyfe said.
