Malibu, CA, United States (CNS) -- "The Graduate" actress Katharine Ross has obtained a restraining order against her own daughter. The 71-year-old actress, who starred alongside Anne Brancroft and Dustin Hoffman in 1967 hit film, claims 26-year-old daughter "jabbed" her numerous times in her arm. The documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court reads that Katharine and her daughter Cleo were at their family home in Malibu on March 2 when the younger woman "suddenly lost her temper and began to threaten me. She said, 'I want to kill you.'" When Katharine tried to call the police, Cleo took a pair of scissors and cut the phone line. She then jabbed her mother in the arm at least 6 times, which drew blood. The actress/children's book author also alleges that her daughter has been physically violent and verbally abusive since the latter was just 12 or 13 years old. Cleo is now ordered by a judge to move out of their family home and stay at least 100 yards away from her mother. A hearing for the matter is set for March 30. Cleo is Katharine's daughter with her fourth husband, actor Sam Elliot.
