Dave Matthews Band announce first "mini-festival" tour dates

Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) -- Dave Matthews Band said they'd be spending their 20th anniversary by taking the year off from touring, but they're already lining up "mini-festivals" tour dates where they'll be the headlining act.

Dave Matthews are planning on staging four "mini-festivals" during the summer, kicking off in June and the last one scheduled for September.

They've already announced the regions and dates for the first two Dave Matthews Band Caravan festivals. The first will take place from June 24th through the 26th in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region.

The second is set for July 8th through the 10th in the Midwest, while August and September festival details are still to-be-announced.

"2011 is our 20th anniversary as a band and we want to celebrate by playing music together," the band wrote on their website. "While we are still taking the year off from touring, we have decided to plan four multi-day, multi-artist music events that will take place this summer."

Exact locations, lineups, and ticket on-sale info is still to come, but major DMB fans should start getting their gear ready for a possible cross-country road trip this summer.
