Atlanta, GA, United States (CNS) -- A three-month-old panda born in an Atlanta zoo has a new name, thanks to actor Jack Black. The 41-year-old actor attended a naming ceremony Tuesday for the giant panda cub, which was the only panda born in an American zoo last year, reports The Daily Herald. The panda was named Po after Black's character from the 2008 hit animated movie "Kung Fu Panda." Zoo officials also announced that DreamWorks, the studio that produced the film, donated an undisclosed amount to help with the zoo's panda conservation program. According to the newspaper, Po's mother, Lun Lun, and father, Yang Yang, were brought to Zoo Atlanta from China in 1999. Since then, the zoo has been paying the country an annual lease of $500,000 to display the pandas. Hundreds of spectators turned out for the ceremony, complete with traditional Chinese dances and a large Po mascot performer. Before the event, Black posed for pictures with the 10-pound baby panda. "Kung Fu Panda 2," which reunites Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman and Jackie Chan, will be coming to theaters on May 27.
