Jenny McCarthy splits from new boyfriend

New York City, NY, United States (CNS) -- After locking lips with her boyfriend on the "2011 New Year's Rockin' Eve" television special, Jenny McCarthy and Paul Krepelka have called it quits.

McCarthy, 38, who met Krepelka on a blind date, said she was "really happy" with her new relationship during a visit last month on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show."

But it looks like she may have spoken a bit too soon.

"The long-distance thing proved too much for them, and they just mutually decided that it wasn't going to work," a source close to Krepelka tells Life & Style Weekly. "He didn't want to move to LA, and she certainly can't move to Boston. They're still friends; they just couldn't make it work."

McCarthy split from actor Jim Carrey after five years together. And although McCarthy was the first to move on, with Krepelka, in Decemeber, so has Carrey.

The 49-year-old actor has been reportedly seen with former "America's Next Top Model" contestant Anchal Joseph.
