Los Angeles, CA, United States (CNS) -- Lady Gaga is entering her second year as an international superstar and along with "The Fame" comes the first biography written about the 23-year-old singer.

"Lady Gaga: Behind the Fame" is set for release on March 2nd. The likely unauthorized book comes from Emily Herbert, who also wrote "Michael Jackson: King of Pop - 1958-2009" for release in November last year as well as books on British stars Katie and Peter and late Boyzone member Stephen Gately.

The L.A. Times reports that "Lady Gaga: Behind the Fame" will chronicle the singer's early life before she became an eccentric stage star with hits like "Bad Romance" and "Just Dance." It'll focus on Gaga's journey to stardom, including how the 23-year-old Stefani Germanotta went from being a Catholic school girl to go-go dancing.

The book also promises an "intimate look into the music, fashion, art and life of the first Lady of pop." The 288 page bio will also include 32 pages of photos of the star.

"Lady Gaga: Behind the Fame" is being published by Overlook Press, who's also published biographies based on the lives of stars like Ewan McGregor and Susan Boyle.
