New York, NY, United States (CNS) -- BET.com will premiere their new web series "Shop Talk: What's on the Hearts of Men" on Tuesday February 2nd at 3pm ET/PT. The new nine episode series will reveal the candid conversations men have whilst at a Barbershop in Brooklyn.

"Shop Talk: What's on the Hearts of Men" is written, directed and produced by Malik Yoba who starred in "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?" The show will cover several topics from interracial relationships to commitment to President Obama as these men line up to get their haircuts.

As well as the episodes there will also be a chance for viewers to express their opinions on the issues raised through an interactive blog. "Our goal is to stimulate dialogue within our community about issues from a male perspective rarely seen in mainstream media," said Malik Yoba. "We want to push the viewers to think beyond the obvious ideas that they just saw and create discussion on the blog."

In the first episode of "Shop Talk: What's on the Hearts of Men" Malik takes his seven-year-old son, Josiah, to the local barbershop in Brooklyn. Whilst there Josiah gains wisdom from his elders whilst discussing what it means to be a man.
