![]() Chicago, IL, United States (CNS) -- Two different outlets are teaming up to redefine the concept of "cool." And fortunately, they're both well-versed in the field. Interior designer Bryan Batt, star of the AMC series "Mad Men," is partnering with Playboy Enterprises, Inc. to design a limited edition loveseat in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Playboy Clubs. The clubs, founded in the 1960s, will be paid homage through "The Hef," so named for Playboy founder Hugh M. Hefner. "I'm a fan of 'Mad Men' and a one-of-a-kind Playboy piece by Bryan Batt to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Playboy Clubs seemed like a natural," said Hefner, who also serves as Playboy Magazine's editor-in-chief and chief creative officer Playboy Industries. "The loveseat brings back memories of the early 1960s, a time when Playboy solidified its place in American culture, in part with the introduction of the Playboy Clubs." The Hef utilizes a unique design to encompass the comfort and style of the '60s. Batt's design includes gray mohair upholstery, nail head detailing and side panels crafted from rosewood. "The inspiration for this piece came from a 1960s photograph from the original Playboy mansion in Chicago," Batt said. "The design of the loveseat speaks to the sensibility of a time when suits and sexy were au courant." The Hef was unveiled publicly at the Las Vegas Market trade show on February 1. It will be on display through February 5. The furniture piece, manufactured by Brownstone, will be extremely limited in production, with only 50 units being made. The Web site hazelnutneworleans.com will sell The Hef exclusively for a price of $15,000.
