Robert Pattinson Named GQ's Best Dressed For 2010

London, United Kingdom (CNS) -- "New Moon" heartthrob Robert Pattinson is the best dressed for 2010, according to U.K.'s GQ magazine. The 23-year-old actor, known to "twi-hard" fans as Edward Cullen, beats out the boys of Take That for the coveted style title.

Pattinson, who is often snapped in t-shirts and jeans, is "extremely elegant and inspiring, the true essence of a contemporary man," according to designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana on the magazine's U.K. website.

He came at number 39 from last year.

Second on the list are Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, and Mark Owen. The Take That boys prove that "men making their way towards 40 can remain stylish and relevant without succumbing to embarrassing, age-inappropriate, down-with-the-kids desperation."

Rapper Dizzee Rascal is a new entry at 10th place for his ability to "wear a white suit well."

A surprising entry is the Fantastic Mr. Fox, the stop-motion animated film character voiced by George Clooney. The suit-wearing character is "Paul Newman on four legs," says author Sophie Dahl.

Also making the list are David Beckham, Daniel Craig, and designer Tom Ford.

For the worst dressers, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown tops the shame list for being "anything but a prime example of British style."

Two more world leaders are also named. French President Nicolas Sarkozy is at third place, while North Korean leader Kim Jong-il is at eighth.

GQ Best Dressed List 2010:

1. Robert Pattinson 2. Take That 3. Alex Turner 4. Fantastic Mr. Fox 5. Tom Ford 6. Daniel Craig 7. David Furnish 8. David Cameron 9. David Beckham 10. Dizzee Rascal

Worst Dressed List:

1. Gordon Brown 2. Russell Brand 3. Nicolas Sarkozy 4. Boris Johnson 5. All the Top Gear team 6. Piers Morgan 7. Match of the Day team 8. Kim Jong-il 9. Johnny Borrell 10. Peter Stringfellow
