London, England (CNS) -- Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney "quite fancied the idea" of playing a residency at the O2 Arena in London. He is due to play at the famed venue on Tuesday, but he said an extended run of shows wouldn't hurt.
He told Absolute Radio's DJ Geoff Lloyd, "Last time I ever did that was when The Beatles used to do Christmas shows, and it was brilliant because
you would be there for a week or two."
"It was fantastic, just dosing in your overcoat and everything."
McCartney will be concluding his European tour on Tuesday. He kicked off his shows earlier this month in Hamburg, and followed by gigs in Berlin, Arnhem, Paris, Cologne and Dublin.
He released his album "Good Evening New York City" last month.
