Fake Tamiflu Spammed Online More Than Counterfeit Viagra

London, U.K. -- The influenza A (H1N1) pandemic has made fake Tamiflu the most spammed drug over the Internet surpassing spam e-mails on bogus male impotency drug Viagra, Britain's pharmaceutical body said Friday.

"From looking at sites that used to sell Viagra and the amount of spam emails we're having reported to us, we think that Tamiflu is now the most spammed drug on the Internet," David Pruce, Director of Policy for the UK's Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) told CNN. "Every Web site that used to sell Viagra is now selling Tamiflu," Pruce added.

Pruce warned the public not to buy the swine flu medication online saying that half the Tamiflu sold on the Internet would probably be fake just like the Viagra offered by numerous websites.

He described the fake Tamiflus as adulterated with sugar or have lower dose of the anti-flu drug.
