Williamsburg, VA (AHN) -- Days after obtaining an Illinois-shaped cornflake from an Internet auction, a man announced that he will be taking the prized item on the road to be part of his traveling road show. After paying $1,350 for the flake, Jon Wolf, the curator of triviamania.com, is planning to include the flake to his exhibit of American oddities. "That's the most perfectly Illinois-shaped cornflake I've ever seen," the UPI quoted Wolf as he obtained the flake from the Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum in Virginia, after it was found by 15-year old Emily McIntire. According to the Press Association, the cornflake was put up for auction on online website eBay, where it was advertised for more than a week. It was posted by Melissa McIntire, 23, Emily's sister. It was, however, pulled from the website afterwards due to violations of a food policy. The sisters instead auctioned a coupon that would redeem the cornflake.
