"Cat Burglars" Foiled By Filipino SWAT Team

Manila, Philippines (AHN) -- The Philippines' finest police, armed with heavy firepower, surrounded a bank in Manila when its alarm went off Tuesday morning, only to find out the culprits were a pair of cats.

Marikina's SWAT team surrounded the bank early Tuesday morning, ensuring none of the burglars could escape. According to a police officer, when they entered the building, they saw a stray cat slipping through the door and hurriedly escaping.

The police saw another cat trying to flee in a small hole in the ceiling. When they inspected the bank, nothing was missing.

Senior Inspector Ben Mabalot said, "Those cats just came through the ceiling. There is no sign of forced entry so it looks the cats set off the alarms."
