Suspect Hid Money Behind The Walls Of Kentucky Motel Room

Fort Mitchell, Ky. (AHN) -- An Ohio fugitive was not in his rented motel room when Kentucky officials searched his room. Joseph Woods, the 31-year-old suspect was said to be robbing a National City Bank in Norwood at the time of the search operation.

According to federal agents, they recovered $2,600 from the walls of the Drawbridge Inn. The bills were believed to be stolen from U.S. Bank of Sardinia, Ohio Tuesday because of the serial number on the bills.

Woods' companion Sandra Musser was arrested at the Citadel Tower, Buttermilk Pike exit off Interstate 71-75.

Musser appeared before Kenton District Friday for extradition hearing. Musser hid the money behind the wall and in the bathtub.
