Man Stuffs Dead Dad In Freezer For Pension Money

Rome, Italy (AHN) -- A man has confessed to hiding the body of his dead father in a freezer for nearly two years so he could keep collecting the old man's pension money. Gaetano Sivieri, 63, was charged with fraud and concealing a body.

According to a report by The Daily Record, the body was discovered by Sivieri's son Marco, 34, as he carried out some spring cleaning. Marco then alerted the police.

In his confession, Sivieri said he did so because he needed the money.

"The problem is that my dad died during the trip, in the car," he said, according to Sun News. "There was a moment of panic. I didn't know what to do. Then I got the idea of putting him in the freezer."

Sivieri has reportedly collected more than $120,000 after his father's death.
