Man Calls Police After Finding His Apartment Renovated

Frankfurt, Germany (AHN) -- Apparently not everyone appreciates the surprise of seeing their homes fully refurbished and redecorated with someone else's creative eye rather than their own.

A German man was distraught to come home to his apartment after a weekend getaway to find his fridge replaced, walls repainted, windows cleaned, and new furniture installed.

Although nothing had been stolen, Gunter Hagler, 45, called the police to report the break-in anyway.

According to Ananova, local police were able to find out who the redecorators were when they called the landlord to find if anyone else had a key, and discovered he had ordered a complete renovation of the flat next door - but handed over the wrong key.
