East Sussex, England (AHN) -- A 56-year-old painter from Brighton, East Sussex in England, has transformed his 1960s council house into a haven to masters of the Renaissance era. Robert Burns, used ordinary paints to reproduce works by 15th century Italian artists in almost every room of the house. Surprisingly, the painter undertook his last art lesson when he was still at his primary school, according to AP reports. To achieve the Renaissance reproductions, Burns bought coffee table art books. The books have inspired him to realistically reproduce works of Italian masters, such as Botticelli, on his walls, using mostly paints he mixes from leftover paints from his painting jobs. He told the AP, "Whenever I am bored or don't have any work on, I add a bit more. It stops me going barking while I am waiting for the phone to ring. "Decorating work can be a bit bland, one of my last jobs was painting the inside of a factory with 53 litres of magnolia. "I think I will stop with the inside of the house - I don't think the council would appreciate it if I did the outside as well."
