Chinese Girls Forced To Drink Liquor As Punishment

Beijing, China -- Two Chinese girls were recently forced to drink a bottle of liquor when their teacher found they were neglecting their studies. After finishing the drink, the girls began to experience vomiting and dizziness.

Both girls were later sent to a hospital in China's Shaanxi Province. The Beijing News said, "The teacher found a hair curler and a letter among their belongings, so he decided to punish them for not concentrating on their studies."

"At the teacher's insistence, the two girls had to finish one bottle of baijiu against their will," the News added. The teacher beat a male classmate, who objected to the punishment. Baijiu is a powerful grain-based alcohol that is common in the People's Republic.

It was not immediately clear if the teacher would face any sanctions for those wrongdoings. There are often cases of teachers beating up students, mercilessly, in Chinese schools, although some do face sanctions.
