Flatulence Allegedly Triggers A Jail Brawl

North Platte, NE (AHN) -- Flatulence has proved to be a double-the-trouble thing for a Nebraska inmate. Brian Bruggeman, has been charged with assault on a confined person for allegedly passing gas repeatedly, resulting in a fight at the Lincoln County Jail.

According to the complaint filed against him, Bruggeman allegedly shoved Jesse Dorris, his cellmate, into cell bars after he complained about the 38-year-old Bruggeman's flatulence.

Dorris, alleges that Bruggeman's deliberately passed gas in close proximity to him, which afterwards resulted into the Dec. 14 brawl.

Bruggeman, who is serving 30 days for violating a protective order may face five years in prison if found guilty.

The 26-year-old Dorris, who is awaiting trial on a robbery charge, was not charged in the case.
