-- When Rabbi Andrew Bossov found out he was going to get a new kidney his friend, a pastor at a Methodist church, was on the other line with the good news.

Rev. Karen Onesti wasted no time. When she found out her good friend Bossov needed a kidney she volunteered her spare.

The two met four years ago at an Interfaith Council in New Jersey and became friends. Months ago Bossov's kidney had regressed to the point where he was placed on the transplant list.

Now he could soon get a new kidney after months of testing the two for compatibility. Doctors have approved the surgery.
