(AHN) -- One Great Ape in a Des Moines research center was scolded when she pulled a fire alarm sending out the local fire department. A bonobo named Panbanisha was told not to do it again.

The Great Ape Trust of Iowa was in the process of covering the fire alarm before it happened.

Bonobos are the most human-like of the Great Apes. The alarm is about the height of a light switch and was in a room accessed by humans and apes in the research center.

Trust spokesman Al Setka said, "It's my understanding that she's been told not to do it again."
