Wilmington, DE (AHN) -- An 88-year-old Delaware grandmother tried to sue the U.S. Postal Service after she says she was accused of being a terrorist by a postal clerk while trying to mail her homemade fruitcakes.

Lucille Greene mails about 30 fruitcakes out every year as Christmas gifts.

Greene said in December 2002, she went to the post office to mail the cakes when a postal clerk asked her, "What kind of explosives do you have in here?" and shook the box.

Greene says in her lawsuit that others in the post office laughed at her and left her upset and in tears.

She said because of that, she tripped over a parkng barrier in the parking lot of the post office, fell, and broke her glasses and chipped a tooth.

Two weeks ago, a judge dismissed the lawsuit and her appeal for $250,000 in compensation.
