Washington D.C. (AHN) -- A woman was charged Wednesday with sexual assault after she landed in to a heated argument with a male flight attendant aboard a flight from Charlotte, N.C. The U.S. Airways Flight 1494 was on its way to London.

Conan Bruce, a spokesman for the Federal Air Marshal Service in Washington, said that not only the woman disrupted the flight, but she also sexually assaulted the flight attendant.

"During the altercation, she grabbed his buttocks," Bruce told the AP.

When the airplane landed at Gatwick Airport, Sussex police charged the woman with disrupting a flight and sexual assault, Bruce said.
