Manila, Philippines (AHN) -- When traveling to Hong Kong, China tourists are advised not to wear amulets made of live bullets or you will be fined as what happened to two Filipinos traveling the island recently. The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday issued a travel advisory to Filipinos who want to visit Hong Kong not to wear bullet amulets. A report by the Philippine Consul General in Hong Kong, the DFA issued an advisory which list several items that the island prohibits. Hong Kong laws prohibit unlicensed or unauthorized people, including travelers entering or transiting, from carrying or possessing the following items: * Dangerous goods like explosives, fireworks, and flares; * Prohibited weapons like gravity knives and batons; * Arms or ammunition like live bullets or cartridges, teargas, and electrical stunning devices. Violators, unwitting or otherwise, face prosecution, a possible jail term, or a fine of up to $321. Several foreigners including the two Filipinos, have been apprehended by security officers at the Hong Kong International Airport because they were unaware of the law.
