New York, NY (AHN) -- A three-day course called "Charm School Boot Camp" is offering lessons to men who have trouble picking up women. The weekend-long course is being offered in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London and Sydney and anybody willing to fork over the $1,600 fee is eligible to enroll. Charm School is run by a Michigan-based company called Charisma Arts. Men begin with lessons in attraction and are then taken on a field trip of sorts to a bar or club so instructors can assess how well they've assimilated the information. The next day, the instructors critique their students' performances and give them pointers on how they can improve. The men are then unleashed into the world again to see if they can get it right this time. Charisma Arts co-founder Wayne Elise told the AP, "We teach guys how to be themselves in a very unnatural environment, how to cold approach strangers and make them comfortable enough to open themselves up." A Charm School student from Boston named Sam said he enrolled in the seminar because he is tired of sleeping with "drunk chicks" and wants to learn how to "pursue and attain" the women of his choice. Tim, a 23-year-old New York piano tuner, said he is so busy with his new full-time job that it's hard to meet women. He said, "This was something I was willing to splurge on. "I live in a city with millions of women, and I want to meet some of them." But are the customers satisfied? A 23-year-old documentary maker from New York who identified himself as Tim seems to be. "Last night I felt uncomfortable, but I've taken in what they've taught me. I've been myself, and it's worked," he said.
