Los Angeles, CA (AHN) -- The latest trend on the World Wide Web has emerged from the World Cup final and its called 'Head-butting.' The cyber-term refers to Zinedine Zidane's head-butting of Marco Materazzi in the final match of the football World Cup, between France and Italy.

The incident was apparently the result of a provocation by Materazzi - supposedly it was an insult to a couple members of Zidane's family.

Nevertheless, the act of agression got the French footballer a red card from the referree, sending one of the world's best soccer players off the pitch in a World Cup final. To make matters worse, Italy defeated France in a penalty shootout to capture the title.

Interestingly enough, the widely televized 'kodak moment' is now also the "butt" of jokes on the Internet.A video game is available on AddictingGames.com where the player taking on the role of Zidane in the game can induce head-butts on Italian players for points.

YouTube.com is getting in on the action as well. The most popular clip on this site is entitled, " A New Way to Solve Poblems." It's a one-minute video clip revealing people head-butting each other. The piece finishes off with the sentence, "merci to all our tourists."Plage Records (laplagerecords.com), small French record label has a song out designed for the holidays. It's called "Coup de Boule," which translates into "head-butt."

The song which began as a joke emailed to approximately 50 individuals is now posted on the Web and French radio station SkyRock has added it to its play-list. Amazingly enough, ring-tone providers and recordlabels are now battling for the right to the song.

Despite all the fuss about Zidane, Materazzi said Zidane deserved to be named best player at the World Cup.
