Des Moines, IA -- You've heard of cats getting stuck in trees, but somehow they're also making their way into drains.

Roto Rooter has released a list of unusual items that employees have removed from house and sewer drains this year -- and cats have clawed their way onto the roster.

For instance, a kitten in Jacksonville, Florida fell into an electrical conduit pipe earlier this year and was saved by technicians who coaxed it into following a light to a tap line that reached the surface.

Also on the list was a prosthetic eyeball that was rescued using a robotic camera and slow-running water after it fell down a bathroom sink drain in Chicago.

Finally, Rooter technicians had a big, fat, hairy surprise when they were called out to a church in Boston to remove what they thought was a large black root. It turned out to be a clump of human hair more than eight feet long that had accumulated over several years.
