New Years' Resolutions Are A Farce

Philadelphia, PA -- It's not news that many people fall short of their New Year's Resolution -- and it might just be because they aren't serious enough about them.

According to a survey done by the Gail Kasper consulting group, more than 51 percent of folks made a resolution this year, but only nine percent are "actively doing something about it."

The other 91 percent say some issue -- or excuse -- came in their way of achieving their goal. For instance, 33 percent say procrastinating was their biggest obstacle while 24 percent say they lack the discipline needed to succeed.

Also, 10 percent of the resolution losers blamed their failure on having to "do it alone."

The biggest problems people sought to fix last year -- and failed at -- are financial stability and losing weight.
