Weed Smoking Boxing Champ Says Ricky Williams Doesn't Deserve So Many Hits

El Cajon, CA -- Ricky Williams is taking a lot of hits for admitting he smokes pot, but he's getting support from a boxer named Tiger Smalls.

He's the current WBO/NABO featherweight boxing champ and he's blunt about his own marijuana use, which he says is "none of nobody's business since it's not a performance-enhancing drug."

Smalls never boxes while high but admits he likes to smoke out after a fight, mainly because it helps him "avoid temper tantrums" when he's not in the ring.

As he puts it, "It helps people who are hyperactive and have mood swings and the people who do it probably need it and shouldn't be penalized."

Smalls is one of the few boxers to admit smoking pot but claims 85 percent of pros partake including "many of the world champions who fight on HBO."

Although Smalls' career might take a hit because of his reefer revelations, he hopes it makes people recognize the difference between drugs like marijuana and steroids, which actually affect an athlete's ability.

Smalls discusses marijuana and boxing in the upcoming issue of "High Times" magazine.
