According to a new survey from Pedigree dog food, dogs come in handy for their masters who are looking for a date.

More than 50 percent of dog owners say they have met a new friend because of their pooch and 15 percent have met their future spouse while walking their dog.

Meanwhile, 42 percent of dog owners admit they have or might take their dog out for the sole purpose of meeting someone of the opposite sex.

But women use dogs to sniff out Mr. Right. Fourteen percent of ladies say they take their dog's opinion into consideration when choosing a mate.

That means if rover doesn't like him, then neither will she.
