Ring Tone Songs Aren't Music To Ludacris' Ears

New York, NY -- Songs made into ring tones may be music to the ears of most music fans, but rapper Ludacris says they don't jibe well with him.

The Atlanta-based rapper says he doesn't have any musician-based ring tones downloaded into his cell phone because he doesn't like the sound of his phone "ringing all the time, especially since it is ringing all the time."

Instead, Ludacris says he leaves his phone on vibrate or "not turned on at all."

It's been particularly perturbing lately for Ludacris, who says he's been getting tons of calls as a result of him promoting his new album, "Red Light District."

While Ludacris' own phone may not bounce to the beat of a song, he says it's "a great thing" for musicians since "we're going to be making more money because of it."

Ludacris will be making a lot of dough from ring tones taken from his latest hits, which are being made available by Infospace.
